Good Manufacturing Practices Guarantee

cGMP refers to the current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA. cGMP provides for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities. Adherence to the cGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of products by requiring that manufacturers adequately control manufacturing operations. This includes establishing strong quality management systems, obtaining appropriate quality raw materials, establishing robust operating procedures, detecting and investigating product quality deviations, and maintaining reliable testing laboratories.

HEALTH TIP from Dr. Vliet

HEALTH TIP from Dr. Vliet

Muscle strength is important at every life stage. When we're young and growing, we are building muscles to play and perform. In adulthood we need muscle strength to work and function. As we age, muscle strength is crucial for balance and ability to enjoy activities. Proteins, and their amino acid building blocks, are essential for us to maintain muscle strength and stamina for quality of life and longevity.

There are many factors essential for building muscle:

  • Optimal hormone balance, which includes thyroid, testosterone, estradiol, and adrenal hormones, the hormone action of “Vitamin” D and others.
  • Balanced diet of protein, healthy fats, complex carbs
  • Key vitamins and minerals
  • Balanced exercise with aerobic, strength training, flexibility/stretching
  • Adequate sleep and hydration

All of the above go a long way to achieving adequate protein synthesis to build healthy, strong muscle over our lives. There are times in our lives, however, when a boost is needed. This can happen due to illness, injury, and other factors in both the young and the elderly.

But even without illness or injury, after about age 35, all of us begin slowly losing muscle mass. Muscle mass decreases approximately 3–8% per decade after the age of 30 and this rate of decline is even higher after the age of 60. This muscle loss is called “sarcopenia. ”Sarcopenia comes from the Greek words sarcos meaning flesh or muscle, and penia meaning little or loss. We notice it slowly: less tone, less strength, less feeling “on top of our game”. Performing daily activities can become increasingly challenging as we age unless we work at it with combination approaches, which may need to include dietary supplements of the 9 essential amino acids.

There are multiple causes for this decline in muscle mass and muscle strength. Some of this has to do with decline in hormones in both men and women, especially testosterone. Our diets may change, or if eating a plant-based diet, we may not get enough protein and all the essential amino acids (EAAs) to support and maintain our muscle mass. We often become less active, more sedentary and have less demanding jobs as we get older. Chronic inflammation, muscle denervation, mitochondrial dysfunction, infiltration of fat into muscle, and insulin resistance can also contribute to loss of muscle mass and strength as we age.

When diet and exercise are not enough, there is something you can add to help maintain muscle mass and strength, TruAmino™ Complex. TruAmino™ Complex represents a breakthrough in the use of amino acids for muscle protein synthesis. Over 20 human trials have been conducted to arrive at this specific, patented combination of the nine essential amino acids (EAAs) – including the branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine – plus arginine, proportioned in the most optimal ratios for building muscle. DATA REFERENCE SHEET HERE Whether you want to support muscle strength and function or prevent muscle loss associated with inactivity or aging,TruAmino™ Complex is designed for both young and elderly individuals who are seeking to stimulate muscle protein synthesis, hasten muscle recovery, and promote muscle strength and function.*

It is all about quality not quantity. EAAs are primarily for protein synthesis. Studies have demonstrated that no additional benefits are gained from adding non-essential amino acids to an EAA supplement. Likewise, EAAs in similar ratios to TruAmino™ Complex– had twice the impact on muscle protein synthesis than that of an equal amount of a high-quality protein. Exercise is another way to boost the effectiveness of EEA intake. Ingestion before exercise increases the delivery of amino acids to the muscles. Research has also shown that exercise and EAAs intake have additive effects on muscle protein synthesis, and the branched-chained AAs can hasten post-exercise recovery. TruAmino™ Complex has unique features for the elderly, who commonly use protein supplements as a calorie substitutes and reduce their food intake. TruAmino™ Complex is not a meal replacement, it is a low-calorie, zero carbohydrates formula, so as not to influence satiety, and not reduce food intake.

A unique and key special feature of TruAmino™ Complex is the high portion of leucine that is required for optimal stimulation of muscle protein synthesis in the elderly. We hope you will try TruAmino™ Complex to help you meet your goals and stay healthy.

To your improving health!
