Good Manufacturing Practices Guarantee

cGMP refers to the current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA. cGMP provides for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities. Adherence to the cGMP regulations assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of products by requiring that manufacturers adequately control manufacturing operations. This includes establishing strong quality management systems, obtaining appropriate quality raw materials, establishing robust operating procedures, detecting and investigating product quality deviations, and maintaining reliable testing laboratories.

HEALTH TIP from Dr. Vliet

HEALTH TIP from Dr. Vliet

At the turn of the 20th century, Nobel Prize laureate Ilya Metchnikov introduced the concept that bacteria in yogurt can support the neutralization of gut pathogens, which may, in turn, support longevity. Since then, the role of beneficial bacteria in human health has become well established and continues to evolve with even more exciting research on this front today. This is particularly critical to include in our approaches to restoring health and resilience after the extensive documented damage to the gut microbiome from the COVID illness and experimental gene therapy COVID injections that destroy the gut bifidobacteria. In 2002, the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and WHO (World Health Organization) working group experts established a
definition of probiotics
as “live strains of strictly selected microorganisms, which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.”

Many clinical studies have shown positive effects of supplemental probiotics on a wide range of health concerns, including gastrointestinal issues, allergies, immune support, cancer risk reduction, endocrine modulation, and even weight-management.*

The gut microbiome is clearly associated with metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Since the discovery of a link between gut microbiota and obesity in 2006 (Turnbaugh et al., 2006, Ley et al., 2006), increasing evidence has been presented to suggest a causal relationship between gut microbiota and metabolic disorders (Stenman et al., 2015a), especially in connection with the highly inflammatory typical Western diets (Pendyala et al., 2012Burcelin et al., 2009).

Specific probiotics documented to be helpful in supporting healthy weight management act in part by promoting gut barrier function and epithelial integrity.  Disruption in the integrity and normal function of the GI tract epithelial lining is a major causative link in the rise in metabolic disorders, as confirmed in both animal and in vitro research.  This research also identified that Bifidobacterium animalis subsp lactis B420 is a probiotic that benefits epithelial integrity,*   which led to human trials to validate these effects.

In a double-blind, placebo controlled study with 225 overweight volunteers aged 18-65, the effects of B420, as well as the combination of B420 with a prebiotic fiber, on body-fat mass and other weight-related parameters were investigated. Subjects were not required to make changes in dietary or exercise habits. Results were as follows:

  • Results indicated that B420 in combination with the prebiotic offered the most significant benefits when compared to placebo (4.5% reduction in body fat mass).
  • B420 alone resulted in reduced body fat mass of 4.0% with changes in fat mass being most pronounced in the abdominal region and in waist circumference.
  • Significant reduced caloric intake was shown in both groups compared to placebo.
  • There was no differences between groups in the incidence of adverse events.*
  • Only the prebiotic fiber with B420 group had increases in lean body mass.

As a result of the data for B420,  investigators looked into whether changes in the gut microbiota were associated with clinical benefits and obesity-related issues. Fecal and plasma samples obtained from a subset (n = 134) of the participants in the above mentioned clinical trial and found that consumption of B420 resulted in alterations of the specific gut microbiota Lactobacillus and Akkermansia muciniphila, associated with improved metabolic health. This is significant because Akkermansia muciniphila is often in lower in obese individuals with metabolic dysfunction. Researchers concluded that this strain supports gut barrier function and improves obesity-related markers and thus supports the probiotic benefits of B420.

In summary, there are several important
Clinical Applications for TruProbiotic™ Lean:

 • Supports Healthy Weight Management*

 • Promotes Gut Barrier Function*

• Promotes Intake of Less Calories*

• Supports Reduction of Body Fat Mass*

Truth for Health Foundation product TruProbiotic™ Lean capsules containing Bifidobacterium animalis subsp lactis B420 come in sealed, nitrogen-purged blister packs to serve as protection from heat, moisture and oxygen—factors that compromise the stability of probiotics. Our TruProbiotic™ Lean formulation utilizes DRcaps™ gastro-resistant capsules that are specially designed, innovative capsules help slow exposure of actives to stomach acid to support resistance to low gastric pH and promote an enhanced and delivery of microorganisms targeted to release in the small intestines for optimal effectiveness.*

Metabolic disorders are rapidly increasing, especially after the damage from the COVID injections, so prevention options—such as those targeting the gut microbiota—I think it is critical to include these approaches in our health and resilience options.

For all these reasons, we have included TruProbiotic™ Lean in our TruWeight Management formula along with TruFiber™ Lean AND TruBerberine™ for optimal weight support.  More on both of these exciting products in our next Health Tips!

To your improving health!
